Jonathan Mooney Parking Information

Note about C.A.R.T. - We are sorry to let you know that we have not been able to arrange
CART for the lectures.  ASL sign Interpretation will be provided at both lectures.

We are delighted that you are interested in attending the Jonathan Mooney events on October
15th.  If you would like a copy of the event poster
please click here.  Parking is always a
challenge at Syracuse University so please read the following information closely.

Maps

The first map is a map that clearly shows all main campus buildings.  The 4 pm lecture is at
HBC (or H.B. Crouse) and the second is at Watson Theater - the entrance is on the side of
Watson facing Marion Hall.

The second campus map shows all all
parking facilities.  You are interested in the left side of
the map that shows the main campus - enlarge the map with control at the top right of the
screen.  Visitor parking facilities are marked with a "V".  The Marion surface lot shows on this
map but not on the first map - this is a small lot and is often full.  The Irving Garage and Booth
Garages have been reserved for our events.

Street Parking

There is street parking both metered and non-metered in the area.  Some metered parking
must only be paid until 6 pm - be sure to read the individual meter.  Some pay street parking
uses centralized machines that you must insert change into and then receive a ticket that you
place on your dash.

Most non-metered streets are odd/even parking which means that you can park on one side of
the street until 6 pm and then must move to the other side of the street.  Be sure to follow the
signs.

Pay Parking Lots/Garages Rates

Event rates are available for each lecture. For the 4 pm lecture the closest parking is the Irving
Garage and for the 4 pm lecture, Booth Garage is closest.

4 pm rates for Irving and Booth

Discounted rates: All lots: (1-2 hours) $2.75 (2-3 hours) $3.75 (5+
hours) discounted rate) $6.50

7 pm rates

Handicapped Parking

If you have a disability that requires you to park very close to the events, and someone will not
be driving you who can drop you off and park at one of the facilities listed above, Parking
Services has indicated that they will try to provide a couple of spots on the Quad lots that are
next to the event locations.  This is a very limited availablity we will only be able to accomodate
a few people - please call Ted Finlayson-Schueler at 446-6333 or email at tfinlays@syr.edu to
request this parking.
